Maria Biot

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Maria, on September 8, 2024, in her 88th year. Born to Girante and Orsola in December 1935.

Maria married the love of her life, Quinto, and spent 57 wonderful years together before his passing in 2016. Together they had two children, Iris (Joe; predeceased), and Dionisio (Debbie). She was a devoted grandmother to Eugene, Laura, Sabrina, Daphnie, Jenna and Gabriel. She was a proud great grandmother to Avery, Lorenzo and Sierra. Maria is now reunited with her brother Vittorio (Patricia).

Maria always enjoyed visits from family and friends and made everyone feel welcomed. She will be fondly remembered for her cooking, especially wild game, and her preserves. Maria had a green thumb and enjoyed growing flowers and vegetables in her garden. She loved to spend time outdoors and often went fishing with Quinto. Maria loved taking pictures with her little camera and capturing many fond memories.

Friends and family will be received on Monday September 16, 2024 at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday September 17, 2024 at St. Peter’s Parish (100 Bainbridge Avenue, Woodbridge) at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.
