Passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on Sunday April 23, 2017 at the age of 93. Devoted wife of the late Francesco. Proud mother of Alex (Jane), Sara (Charles Camilleri), Lucy (John Lessa), Anna (Joseph De Caria) and Toni. Cherished Nonna of Paul (Maria), Catherine (Jason), Laura (Adamo), Christina (Nick), Juliana (Andrew), Sabrina, Anthony, Maria and Julian. Loving Nonna Maria (Great Grandmother) of Daniel, Charlotte, Nicole, Sofie, Cristian and Alessia. Maria has joined her dear husband Francesco and her sister Santina (Salvatore). She will be sadly missed by her beloved sisters in-law Nicolina (Giovanni predeceased) and Amelia (Giovanni predeceased), and the late Ida (Francesco predeceased). Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews Frank, Antonette, Mary, Tony, Alex (predeceased), Mario, Rosemarie, Patricia (predeceased), Franca, Rose, Michael, Alessandro, Rosaria and Salvatore.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy 7 (west of Pine Valley Dr.), Woodbridge, on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 2-5, and 6-9. A Mass to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday April 26, 2017 at St. Peters Church 100 Bainbridge Ave., Woodbridge at 9:30 a.m. Final resting place to follow at Westminster. In Lieu of flowers donations to the Angel Foundation for Learning (Nutrition program) would be appreciated. Due to sentivity to scents, the family respectfully requests guests to refrain from using scented soaps and perfumes.
