Margaret Wallace Youl (nee Simpson), died peacefully in Oakville on December 12, 2016 in her 95th year.
Born in Scotland, Margaret served in the Second World War as a Sub-lieutenant in the British Auxiliary Army, then went on to marry Ian and immigrate to Canada. Margaret enjoyed a successful career in Toronto as a real estate agent and interior decorator.
Beloved wife of Ian Ogilvie Youl for 43 years, Mum will be greatly missed by her daughters Evelyn Kalb and Jayne Blackburn, her granddaughters Madeleine Tschernitz (nee Kalb), Nadia Kalb and Jennifer McCutcheon, and son-in-law Bernhard Kalb.
Margaret was blessed with an extended family and very dear friends. She will be sadly missed by all.
A private family service was held on December 17th at Ward’s Funeral Home in Oakville.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to the Princess Margaret Foundation, the Alzheimer’s Association or the charity of your preference.
