TRIMBLE, Margaret (nee Rose, formerly Reid) With great sadness the family announces the passing of their Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother Margaret Trimble at Tall Pines Long Term Care Centre on Tuesday Oct 18, 2016 in her 95th year. Predeceased by husbands David Trimble (1997), Bryce Reid (1945 WWII), brother Fred and sister Gertrude. Survived and missed deeply by her children; Linda & Jim of Brampton, Richard & Barbara of Toronto, Brian of Port Perry, Elizabeth & Peter of Brampton, sister Pat of Orillia, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
A longtime resident of Malton, Mississauga, former member of ACW at St. Hugh & St. Edmond (St. Hugh of Lincoln) Anglican Church and The Canadian Legion in Malton.
Daughter of Fred and Martha Rose, Margaret was born and raised in Richmond Hill Ontario, lived in Weston and Port Elgin before settling in Malton in 1953. Margaret was trained and worked her early years in Domestic Service and often spoke fondly of the children of the household she worked for. Margaret assisted in the operation of the Service Station & General Store with her husband David in Port Elgin before they moved to Malton where she worked for many years in the executive dining room of McDonnell-Douglas Canada Ltd, formerly located at the corner of Derry & Airport Roads and the cafeteria at Westwood Secondary School.
The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the medical, nursing and personal care staff at Tall Pines Long Term Care and Woodhall Park Retirement Village for the care, respect and dedication they showed Margaret during her residence in their facilities.
Margaret is resting at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Ave.) Weston. Visitation Monday October 24 from Noon-1:00pm with service immediately following at 1:00pm. Interment; Glendale Memorial Gardens, 1810 Albion Road, Etobicoke
