November, 12, 1932 – August 23, 2016
Died peacefully at the Ian Anderson House, surrounded by her family, at the age of 83. Predeceased by her husband, Michael, and adored daughter, Rachel. Beloved mother to Natalie Suhanic and Alexandra Ince (nee Suhanic), mother-in law to Steve Marlatt and Scott Ince and cherished grandmother to Sophie and Danielle Trecroce and Michael and Sarah Ince. She is also survived by her brother, Alan Buchan, and her sisters and brothers’ in-law, Margie and Boris Wolchak and Susie and Gerry Jarson.
Margaret was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. As a young woman she emigrated to Canada by herself in 1957 displaying the spunk and courage she would be known for her entire life. She met the love of her life, Michael, soon after and married into the warm embrace of the Suhanic family. Maggie and Mike provided a loving, supportive and joyful home for their three daughters. She became a successful real estate agent in Oakville where her love of decorating and design shone through. She had a passionate interest in art and was a long time member of the Oakville Galleries Volunteer Association. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing mahjong and scrabble.
The past 16 years were difficult for her as she faced the loss of her husband and daughter and many serious health problems. Despite these adversities, she inspired her family with her compassion for others, her joyfulness and courage. Margaret will be remembered for her beautiful smile, sense of humour and her vivacious personality. Mom, Nanny, Maggie, we are thankful that you are now at peace.
Please join with the family to celebrate Margaret’s life on Friday, August 26th at the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville, Ontario from 4:30 p.m. until 8:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church located at 89 Dunn Street, Oakville, Ontario on Saturday, August 27th at 11 a.m.
