Margaret Noble
December 03, 1922 – February 17, 2022
Peacefully passed away in Toronto in her 100th year with family by her side.
Survived by her beloved daughter Alison. Predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years John Dudley, her sister Isobel (George),her brother Jack (Anne) and her Scottish immigrant parents, Mary and John Anton Cameron.
Margaret was born and raised in Toronto and would spend the majority of her life in the city.
Childhood summers were spent enjoying a cottage on the Toronto Islands and, in later years, up at the Severn River and Lake Couchiching.
Margaret 's earlier career with the Ontario government provided her with the opportunity to work in London, England for several years. It was there that she met and married the love of her life, John and made many lifelong friends.
In her spare time Margaret volunteered at Traveler's Aid at Toronto Union Station and the ROM and enjoyed frequent outings with her friend’s downtown.
Both Margaret and John enjoyed live theatre, concerts, travelling and spending winters in Venice, Florida scouting for shark's teeth on the beach.
Margaret remained keenly interested in events all around her especially the news, world affairs and politics. Margaret had a knack for asking the best questions, in her usual fun and enthusiastic manner.
A private family service was held. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke or the CNIB Foundations would be appreciated.
