Margaret Hunter, 98 years, passed quietly on Saturday the 29th of July 2023. She will be missed by her daughter Linda and son in law Robert Ewles, adopted nephew and niece Mike Smith and Coleen Jones,

Margaret was born in Huttonville and later the family moved to Brampton. Margaret attended school here and in 1939 fell in love and was engaged to Carlyle Robertson of Brampton. In 1944 Carlyle was killed in Normandy France.

After the war Margaret met and fell in love with Richard Bray. Later they divorced. They had one child together, Linda.

Margaret was a long-time employee of the Royal Bank. She met Stewart Hunter of Brampton while working for the bank. They fell in love and married in 1959. Margaret and Stewart resided in Brampton. Together along with Linda they adopted nephew and niece Mike and Coleen Smith.

Margaret enjoyed her family and friends golfing, swimming in the family pool and curling in the winter, she was an avid sports fan.

Margaret is predeceased by her father Clarence Riesberry, Mother Florence, Brothers William and James. Margaret will be missed by her sister Florence and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Interment at Brampton Cemetery. A Faith Service will be held at the interment site, with family and friends on Thursday the 3rd. of August 2023, at 11:30 a.m.
