Margaret Gardner

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Dear and Loving Mother. Margaret Gardner (nee Bayne), daughter of the late Elizabeth Hibbert Bayne and Allan Bayne was born on May 24th 1937 in Toronto, sadly passed away on Saturday September 10th 2016 in her home.

She was united in marriage to her pre deceased husband Charles Ronald Gardner (1936-2010) on March 5th 1954. Both Ronald and Margaret grew up in the Parkdale community where they raised their 5 children.

She is survived by her son Eric Gardner and wife Elaine, Son Stephen Gardner and wife Tracy, Daughter Catherine Hayes and husband James and Daughter Marlene Cormier and husband David and pre-deceased by her son Lawrence " Larry" Gardner (1957 - 2011).

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Terri Hayes, Tiffany Hollywood, Daryl Hayes, Melanie Gardner, Wayne Gardner and Matthew Cormier followed by her great grandchildren Latycia Hayes, Shae Hayes, Megan Hollywood, Kaena Gardner, Kyleigh Gardner, William Gardner and Benjamin Gardner. She was also a Great Great Grandmother to Nevaeh Hayes.

Also left to remember are her late brothers Thomas Bayne and John Bayne. She is also survived by her loving niece Deanna Bayne as well many other caring nieces and nephews and the extended members of the Gardner family.

She will be very sadly missed by all of her family. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to Larry and to other members of the family including her mother. Her greatest joy in life was always her family. We will always carry her memory in our hearts.

The family of Margaret Gardner would like to say a very heartfelt thank you to a very special friend and truly good neighbour, Sandra and her life partner Rod for their countless acts of kindness shown for many years towards our Dear Mother. There are no words to accurately describe how grateful and appreciative we will forever be for Sandra and Rod's kind hearts and continued support. Good neighbour’s are hard to find and we are truly blessed to have had people so thoughtful and generous as our Mother's neighbour. Our Mother was very fond of both Sandra and Rod and enjoyed their many years of friendship. We would like to especially thank Sandra for her willingness to help our family during this very difficult time and the countless times she visited with our Mother showing just how caring she is. Their generosity means very much to all of us. Thank you very much Sandra and Rod for everything.
