Margaret Mary Broderick

BRODERICK, MARGARET MARY October 15,1932 - March 7, 2025 at the age of 93. Born in Scartaglen, Ireland, Margaret came to Canada in the late 1950’s where she met her husband, Michael, at an Irish dance in Toronto. They were both from County Kerry, Ireland.

Margaret loved life and all that it had to offer. Her desire to live and resilience for life made her one of a kind. She especially enjoyed travelling with family and being part of the atmosphere. She worked as a highly skilled seamstress in Ireland and in Toronto. Later, she became a Teaching Assistant at St. Raphael Catholic School for over 30 years, a job which she adored. In addition to her day job, she volunteered with the St. Vincent de Paul Society where she enriched the lives of underprivileged families. Margaret is predeceased by her husband Michael Broderick of 60 years and her daughter Mary Broderick. Margaret is survived by her children, Patricia (Tony Oliveri) Broderick, Donna (Robert) Hynd and Darlene (Robert Azuma) Broderick and her grandchildren Kaitlin, Bruce, Keira, Alexandra, Fabrizo, Tonia, Tina and Michael. Margaret was always surrounded by loved ones throughout the years. She had the highest level of care at home. Our family wishes to extend our gratitude to her caregivers Sharon, Daphne and Raquel for their care, love, and kindness.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Ward Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel, 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge, ON Thursday, March 13, 2025. Visitation at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Catholic service at 11 a.m., and internment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery at 2 p.m.
