Magdelena Van Zandwyk

Born on July 25, 1926 in Koudekerk aan den rijn, the Netherlands. Magda was one of seven children. She spent her childhood swimming, fishing and skating on the Rhine river. She lived through the war and the depression and married Arie on November 4,1953. They started a family in Bruchem and later moved to Zaltbommel.
With their five children they emigrated to Canada in 1967 where they settled on a dairy farm in Bailieboro, Ontario on Rice Lake.
In 1985, Arie and Magda moved to Peterborough where they eventually retired. They enjoyed travelling, their church community and grandchildren. They settled in Brampton in 2003 where they joined the HCH community.

Magda leaves behind her beloved husband, Arie and a large and loving family who will miss her dearly:

Carl - wife Ann, children; Angela(Geno) and Jason
Martin - wife Ruth, children; Chris (Jenessa), Mike (Bess) and Danny (Geena)
Marian - husband Doug, children; Emily (Brendan) and their daughter Avery, John (Jess), and Ben
Dia - children; Rebecca and Tim
Anja - husband Gavin, children; Mitchell, Bridget and Grace.
