It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Magdalena Gehl (nee Tines).

Leni was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Nikolaus. She was mother to Kathy (Mark) and Nik (Lynn) and proud grandmother to Zen.

Leni was born in the former Yugoslavia and after the war lived in Austria where she met her husband. They came to Canada in 1953 where they built a comfortable life for themselves.

Leni could never sit still. She was either cooking & baking, sewing & knitting or doing housework but above all she loved gardening. She continued with all of these pursuits until the very end.

As an expression of sympathy, donations in Leni’s name can be made to your favourite charity.
