DeGrandis, Lynn Elizabeth (Nee Wade)
July 4, 1956 – September 2, 2014
It is with deep sadness that I announce on behalf of our family, her many friends, and associates, the sudden passing of my sister Lynne DeGrandis (Nee Wade) at the young age of 58. Lynn was predeceased by our parents William Patrick and Paulina Teresa (Nee Vallas) Wade in 1991 and 1998 respectively. She was born in Cape Breton Island, which is a place she never truly left. Lynn lived and worked in Nova Scotia, Manitoba, Alberta and lastly Ontario where she has resided for almost 30 years, primarily in Oakville. She is a graduate of Acadia University where she received her BSC degree. Lynn enjoyed politics from the time she could vote. She was an active member of the Liberal party, Federally and Provincially and also participated in municipal politics over the years. Lynn spent her summers in Oakville as a teenage with some of our cousins and loved Ontario, making the circle complete after so many years. Lynn was a dedicated, hardworking long standing employee of CEC Controls in Burlington. She was an active volunteer with the Ontario Equestrian Association and the Ontario Combined Driving Association. Lynn will be terribly missed by her many friends, family and associates who must go on without the bright light that she was. Lynn has left us too suddenly, too soon and with too many questions as to why a person so young is no longer with us. Visitation will be held from 12 until the time of service at 1 pm, followed by a reception on Saturday September 6th, 2014 at Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville, Ontario, L6J 3K4. Good-bye sis, we will always love you! In lieu of flowers a donation to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
