Lynette Pamela Anthony
Sunrise: August 20, 1950 ; Sunset: June 3, 2022
Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Niece and friend to many, Lynette Pamela Anthony (nee George) died peacefully in the early evening of June 3, 2022 at the age of 71 at Mount Sinai Hospital. She was lovingly surrounded in prayer and song with family and friends by her side. She is now reunited with her beloved husband Eugene (Reggie).
Lynette will be greatly missed by her children Ronald (Junior), Troy, Marcia and her grandchildren Quinton, Devonte, Jaden, and Joshua. Preceded in death by her parents Evelyn and Carlton George, and her first husband Ronald. Lynette was a devoted sister to her 9 siblings Lennox, Cherril, Waveney, June, Jacklyn, Pixie, Eon, Denise and Simone who are equally heartbroken at the loss of her vivacious and passionate spirit. Additionally she will be missed by her nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
For over 30 years, Lynette worked for Rogers Communications bringing an unusual energy and dedication to her job while fighting courageously for the past 21 years with cancer. Throughout, she was resilient and fought to the very end – even continuing to work until just a few months before her passing. With her quick wit, authenticity, generosity, and loyalty, she built unbreakable friendships both at work and recreationally. Nowhere else was this better seen than in her love of travel and volunteering including walk/run events with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. She volunteered for over 20 years for Tennis Canada and would excitedly talk about the tournament with family and friends, turning them into tennis fans.
Words cannot sufficiently convey she will be missed dearly.
