Lydia Cole

It is with great sadness and very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lydia Adina Cole (Miss Liddy). Born January 24th, 1923 (Red Bank District, Portsea St. Elizabeth Jamaica). Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 1st, 2016 at the age of 92.Predeceased by her loving husband Vincent Lowell Cole. Loving mother of Rachael O’connor (Jolly), Archibald Smith (Archie) (pre deceased), Norma Maxwell, Betty Brown, Mark Cole, Marcia Ricketts, Fernando Cole (Bo), Jared Cole (Jer) and Leonard Cole (Yaro) . Proud grandmother of 33 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Lydia Adina is predeceased by her brothers Lucius, Charles, Nathan, Morris, Joslyn, and Cecil, and by her sisters Dorcas and Greta. She will be remembered with much love and fondness by all of her family, lifelong friends, neighbours and church congregation.

Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge, 905-851-9100, on Friday January 15th, 2016 from
2-4 and 6-9pm. A Funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday January 16th, 2016 at 10:30 am at West end Church of God of Prophecy (1344 Martin Grove Rd., just south of Rexdale Blvd.) Interment to follow at Glendale Cemetery (1810 Albion Rd.)
