Wark, Lucille Beatrice (nee Pearson)
January 13, 1919 – November 12, 2015
Passed away peacefully at Columbia Forest Long Term Care, Waterloo. Beloved wife of Robert (predeceased January 12, 2001), and loving mother to Kay (Bob) Hunter, Joyce (Jack) Levett-Fuller, Sharon (Cyril) Dawe, Carol (Mike) Hennebury. Grandmother to David, Laura, Andrea, Craig, Sarah, Michael, Sheree, Jason, Matt and Lori. Great Grandmother to Emma, Ben, Jack, Megan, Rachel, Brina, Kate, Amy, Brixton and Connor. Survived by her brother A.F. (Bud) Pearson of Kitchener, predeceased by seven siblings. Mom was born and raised in Owen Sound and attended high school where she met her husband and were happily married for 60 years. They lived in Toronto from 1945 until their retirement. She enjoyed her travels with Bob and their times at their cottage at Sauble Beach and their condo in Clearwater. Mom’s big love was the Maple Leafs, a team she supported through thick and thin. Many thanks to the staff at Columbia Forest Long Term Care for their kind and thoughtful care over the past two and a half years. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by family.
Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Ave) Weston, on Sunday November 15th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A service will be held in the chapel on Monday November 16th at 11am. Interment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens.
