It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Luciano Calligaro, at the age of 86. He is now reunited in heaven with his cherished wife, Rosanna, his parents, Adelina and Alfonso, and his sister, Rosanna.

Luciano is lovingly remembered by his three children, Giuliana (Robert), Monica, and Carlo. Adored as a proud Nonno to Luca (Monica), Alessia (Mario), Ariana, and Isabella and a cherished Bisnonno to Niko, Julian, Dante, and Cristian.

Born in Leeds, England, during the war, Luciano immigrated to Canada with his parents in 1952, seeking a new life. Together, they founded Calligaro Tile, a family business that continues to thrive to this day.

A man of many passions, Luciano was an avid angler with a deep love for hunting and fishing. He also had an unrelenting passion for travel, exploring five of the seven continents during his lifetime. His thirst for knowledge and insatiable curiosity were evident in everything he did. Luciano embraced life with vigor, always finding joy in the simple pleasures and living to the fullest each day.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him

Friends and family may gather at Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. and 6:00- 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Clare of Assis Church (150 St Francis Ave, Woodbridge). Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
