Luciana Polesel

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Luciana Polesel (nee Seganfreddo) on March 28, 2025 at Baycrest Hospital in Toronto, Ontario at the age of 87. 

Luciana was born on March 25, 1938 in Mason, Italy. She immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1958.

Luciana is predeceased by her husband Remo, and her beloved son, David.

She leaves behind her daughter, Sandra and her daughter in law, Palma (Joseph) as well as her much adored grandchildren, Meagan (Jabrille), Lauren (Reid), Kevin and Michael.

She will also be dearly missed by her partner of 15 years, Paolo Chioran.

Luciana's love of family was great. She enjoyed nothing more than having a house full of family and friends, laughing and discussing life. Her pastimes were doing her daily crossword puzzles and gardening. She was renowned for having the largest tomatoes in the city. She was a loving, caring person and "To know her was to love her".

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations to The Canadian Cancer Society.
