Lucia Forestieri,

Surrounded by her loving family, Lucia, 90, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2017. She was a devoted and faithful wife to Francesco for 70 years. A loving mother to her children Anna (Donato), Armando (Palma), John (Ornella), Pia (Pat) and Silvana (Robert); a cherished nonna to her grandchildren, Robert, Diana (Lui), Lynda (Sam), Stephanie (Dave), Paul (Sonia), Lisa (Julian), Alessandra, Matthew (Mara), Stephen (Angela), Sara, Andrew and David; a beloved bisnonna to her great-grandchildren Adamo, Samantha, Daniel, Luca, Sophia, Evelyn, Luca and Mattia; and a caring sister to Maria, Vincenza and Francesca. She has now been reunited with her dearly departed parents Domenico and Domenica and siblings Umberto, Santina and Pierina. She is fondly remembered for her tenacity, strength, her love of music and singing, and the ability to tell great story. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

Family and friends will be received at Ward Funeral Home located at 4671 Highway 7 in Woodbridge on Sunday September 24 from 2-4pm and 6-9pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. David’s Roman Catholic Church located at 2601 Major Mackenzie Dr. in Maple on Monday September 25 at 11am. Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery located at 5830 Bathurst St. in North York.
