Lucia de Lurdes Falcao

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dearest Lucia de Lurdes
Falcao. Lucia passed at the Brampton Civic Hospital on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at
the age of 79, with family by her side. Lucia was born to loving parents Miguel and
Sara in Sao Miguel, Portugal on March 10, 1944. Lucia leaves behind her beloved
husband Jose, of 57 years. Following her wedding to Jose, they moved to Bermuda
for 5 years before making Canada their home.

Lucia is the cherished and loving mother of Jamie (Nelia), Deborah (Raymond), and
Michael (Orlena). She will be sadly missed by grandchildren Andrew, Thomas,
Justin, Sabrina and Sofia. Lucia is the cherished sister of brother Gil Massa (Ligia)
and predeceased brothers Humberto (Lidia), Mario (Tica) and Eugenio (Berta). She
will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, both in Canada and
abroad.

Lucia had a passion for all things family related. She loved spending time talking,
sharing good food, often prepared by her, and laughter. Together with Jose she
traveled far and wide, experiencing different countries and cultures. They enjoyed
pilgrimages to the Holy Land as well as Rome and Fatima (Portugal).

As a devote Catholic, Lucia was a faithful member of her church and the Carmelites.
