Peacefully on Saturday March 31st, 2018 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of Geoffrey Weir for 60 years. Loving mother of Laura Weir and her husband Peter Padalino of Richmond Hill. Dearly remembered by her sister Olive Root of Belleville. Predeceased by her brother Bill.

A proud registered nurse, Lois trained at Guelph General Hospital graduating in 1950. A dedicated homemaker and volunteer, she worked tirelessly for her family, church and community. Lois was admired for her genuine warmth, natural wisdom and quiet inner strength. She will always be loved and forever missed.

Lois’ family wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and caregivers at Malton Village Long Term Care for their care and compassion.

Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Avenue), Weston on Saturday April 7th, 2018 from 12:30 pm until the time of service in the chapel at 1:30 pm.

Interment to take place at a later date at Coningsby Cemetery, Hillsburgh Ontario.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated.
