Linda Marie Cabral (nee Robinson)
October 24, 1943 - September 21, 2023
Linda Marie Cabral (nee Robinson) passed away peacefully in the company of loved ones on Thursday, September 21, in Brampton Ontario, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Linda was born in Fergus, Ontario in 1943 and grew up on the family farm along with her younger siblings Velda, Larry, and Louise. She went to SS #4 elementary school until grade 8 and graduated from Fergus High School. Linda worked for a short time at St. Joseph’s Hospital before completing a business school program in Kitchener.
Linda married Nicola Rozyle in 1962 and the two built a house on her parents’ farm where they lived for ten years. During this period, Linda worked for Kearney National and in 1970, Linda gave birth to a son: Michael Nicola.
In 1973, after the family had built and moved into a new house in Guelph, Linda welcomed a daughter- Joy Marie.
Linda moved to Brampton with Michael and Joy in 1980 where she worked for several years for Tuck Tape. Around 1985 she began drafting at Brampton Hydro, where she worked until her retirement.
In 1992, Linda met Fernando Cabral. Linda and Fern bought a home together in Brampton in 2002 and married in 2006.
Linda is predeceased by her parents Clare and Gladys Robinson.
She is survived by her husband Fernando, her sister Velda, her brother Larry (Linda), her sister Louise, her son Michael (Cindy), her daughter Joy (Phil), her step children Andy (Annette), Laura, her grandchildren Tristan (Laura), Samantha, Allycia, Kyle, Daniel, Jesse, Maria, Asher, Samuel, Colin, and her great-grandchildren Brooklyn, Kai, and Leo.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm, and resume from 5:00pm until 9:00pm, at Ward Funeral Home, 52 Main Street South, Brampton. A Funeral Service will take place at North Bramalea United Church, 363 Howden Boulevard, Brampton, on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at 11:00am. The family would like to invite family and friends for a time of fellowship and refreshments following the Service in the Church Hall. A private Interment will take place.
