Passed away peacefully on Monday, September 26, 2011 at Leaside Retirement Home in her 91st year. Loving daughter of Joseph Leslie Taylor and Kate (Stranger), sister of Jim and Dorothy (Leonard) Davis. Predeceased by her sister Ella (Donald) Giffin and brother George Taylor. She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews, Gerry (Mary Jane), Janette, Wayne, Bill (Mary), Bob (Sharon) and Cathy (John) as well as 6 great nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

A graduate of Toronto Western Hospital School of Nursing, Lillian served as a missionary nurse with the United Church of Canada in China and Angola. Upon her return to Canada Lillian continued her nursing with Toronto Public Health. A lover of opera and ballet, Lillian was an avid patron of the arts, as well as a generous supporter of many cultural and humanitarian charities.

A celebration of her life will be held at Humbervale United Church (1447 Royal York Road, Etobicoke, ON.) on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow.
