Lillian Smith

Lillian “Nettie” Antoinette Smith, 90, was born on June 13, 1928 to the late Anne and Mose Coakley in New Waterford, Nova Scotia. Her and her twin, Anita, were the youngest out of 8 children. In 1949, she married James Smith in which they gave life to 6 beautiful children: Blair, Catherine, Valerie, Jimmy, Ronnie and Anita. Not only was Nettie a loving mother, she was also a proud grandmother and great-grandmother. Nettie passed away on October 10, 2018 peacefully in Etobicoke General Hospital surrounded by her family. Her celebratory mass will be held on Tuesday, October 16th at 10:00am at Our Lady of Victory Parish in Toronto, Ontario. She will be remembered for her sense of style, wittiness, and vivacious personality.
