Lillian Mascioni

Beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, Lillian Mascioni (83) tragically lost her battle with COVID-19 on May 6, 2020 in Toronto, Ontario. Lillian was born on June 5, 1936 to parents Gina and Joseph Valeri in Assergi, L'Aquila, Italy. She immigrated to Canada in 1952 with dreams of building a life filled with love and family.

She is survived by her children: Marc (Roslyn), Gina (Mark), Anthony (Dina); grandchildren: Jessica (Terry), Taylor, Morgan, Madison, Kate, Matthew, Nicholas; great-grandchildren: Avery, Emery; sister: Maria Pia and brother-in-law: Luigi. Lillian was loved by all who knew her and will be fondly remembered as a giving, caring and compassionate woman who welcomed all into her home with love, kindness and a warm meal. She is preceded in death by her treasured sister Silvana, cherished brother-in-law Sergio and the love of her life, Romano Mascioni (1932-2015), now rejoined and dancing together again.

Due to COVID-19, only a private burial with immediate family will be taking place. Friends and family of Lillian are encouraged to visit her Book of Memories at www.wardfuneralhome.com and share a memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the COVID-19 Canada Food Bank relief fund. The family plans to hold a celebration of life for Lillian once the virus has subsided.
