Rev. Lillian Grace Morrison
Minister Emeritus at Scarborough Bluffs United Church
Passed peacefully with family by her side on April 15, 2015. She will be greatly missed by son Iain (Sharon) and daughter Cindy (Rob) and her grandchildren Matthew (Jenny), Evan, Martin, David, Heather and Rachel. Predeceased by her husband Donald and sister Doreen Ingram, Lillian was a retired diaconal minister who had just passed her 29th anniversary of her entry into ordered ministry. She believed that the church was the holy vessel through which God’s Spirit flows out into the world. She had a powerful gift for the caring and support of others as well as an impassioned vision of social justice. She leaves a wonderful legacy for her family and friends. The family would like to thank the Towers Nursing Office staff at Holland Christian Homes for their support and care for Lillian. Friends and family will be received at the WARD Funeral Home “Brampton Chapel”, 52 Main St. S., Brampton on Friday, April 24th from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. A celebration of Lillian’s life will be held at St. Paul’s United Church, 30 Main St. S., Brampton on Saturday, April 25th at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the two causes Lillian championed, Community Living Toronto or The Mission and Service Fund of the United Church of Canada would be greatly appreciated.
