Passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 3, 2023 at the age of 85. Devoted wife of the late Vincenzo. Proud mother of George (Sandra), Michael (Julie), Gabriella (Andre) and the late Stella. Cherished Nonna of Matthew (Donna), Sophia (Alex), Christian, Eva, Fabian, Daniela and Christopher. Loving sister of Tito.

Lidia has been reunited with her beautiful daughter Stella and beloved husband Vincenzo, her parents Michele and Stella and her siblings Olga and Lina.


Over the years, Lidia enjoyed sewing outfits for her family as she listened and sang along to her favourite Italian songs. She was blessed with a beautiful singing voice. Those that were lucky enough to hear it, were graced with her talent.


Among many of her other talents, they included the art of cooking and baking. Her pizzas were the best, not to mention the homemade cookies. So many lovely memories were made in Lidia’s kitchen. The aromas of her amazing cooking would last well beyond her wonderful meals.


Lidia loved nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren whom she loved and adored. They were her world and continue to be as she embraces them with her spirit. She captured the hearts of many with her gentle and loving ways. She was loved by all and will forever be in our hearts.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge (just west of Pine Valley Dr.) on Tuesday, October 10 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday October 11th, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church 300 Ansley Grove Rd., Woodbridge. Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
