Lewis Copestick

March 2, 1928 – May 23, 2018

Passed away peacefully in Oakville, aged 90. Loving husband of Joan (Blair), for 60 years. Cherished father and father-in-law of Louise and Richard Fortier, David and Avril Copestick and Holly and Dino Marasco. Fun-loving grandfather to Cameron, Holly, Kenneth, Richard, Taylor, Jack and Chloe. Born in Scotland, Lewis immigrated to Canada in 1957 and made his career as Finance Partner for PricewaterhouseCoopers. Passionate about music, he was a founding member of the Oakville Symphony Orchestra as a bassoonist. Of great importance to him was giving back to his community. Lewis worked with St. John’s Ambulance, the United Way, and the Old Oakville Probus Club. He was a dedicated and active member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Oakville. His happiest times were spent cruising the world with Joan, playing golf at the Oakville Golf Club and spending time with his family. A Celebration of Life will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 89 Dunn Street Oakville on Wednesday, May 30 at 11am. Reception to follow. In memory of Lewis, donations may be made to the Knox Church New Roads Fund. https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/25176).
