Leonor Garcia Borutski
February 11, 1941 – March 14, 2022

It is with great sadness that the family of Leonor Borutski announces her passing at home surrounded by her loving family in Mississauga on March 14, 2022 at the age of 81. She was born in São João Pico, Açores and moved to Toronto in the mid 60s, but always remained very proud of her Portuguese roots.

She is survived by her beloved husband Terry and her children Eva Silva (Manuel) and Luis Silva (Paula), and her grandchildren Alex, Melanie, and Amy, as well as all her brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews.

Leonor was a loving wife, proud mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and more, whose kindness will be sorely missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.

Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road, Weston, ON on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. A service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Wearing of masks or face coverings by everyone remains mandatory as per provincial regulations.


The family requests that In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Leonor to the Alzheimer Society of Toronto.
