Beloved husband of Anne-Marie (Doran). Cherished father to Marie (Remy Paille) Marc (Tara Edison), Catherine (Ryan Schick), Melissa (Gabriel Carle), Christine and Matthew.
Adored Grampy to Rosalie, Everleigh, Samuel, Sophie, Olivia, Emilie, Natalie, Julia, Jason. Cherished Grampy to Marco and Reema.
Son-in-law to Jean Doran. Leon leaves behind his sister Kathy (Greg Parsons) and brother Vernon (Chris). Loved brother in law of Patrick Doran (Jane), Brian Doran, Kevin Doran (Tracy), Cathy (Matt Sevigny), Sean Doran ( Sandy) , Maureen (Rick Baldino), and Stephen Doran.
Loving uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his grandmother Christiane Gaudet, his father in law John Doran and his sister in law Joanne Doran.
Leon lived life to its fullest each and every day. He enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing and most importantly watching his beloved Montreal Canadiens.
He was a gracious host who enjoyed entertaining and cooking.
His legacy is his children and grandchildren. Leon never missed a special moment. He was at every special occasion lending his wisdom through his famous toasts and more importantly his embrace to hold those he cherished in his big teddy bear hug.
His one true love was Anne-Marie. Their love was infinite. You never saw one without the other. They were made for each other and they have raised their family with the same values.
Leon’s favourite saying was “A man’s measure of wealth at the end of his life is not in his bank account but in the riches of his family around him”
