LeFort, Lenora Ann ( nee Burrell)
May 1, 1928 - June 10, 2012
It is with extremely heavy hearts that we sadly announce the passing of our mother at the age of 84, at the Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga. Beloved wife of 54 years to our beloved Dad, the late Patrick Alfred (2005) who mom will now be reunited with. Loving and caring mother of Joanne, George (Arminda) and Camilla (Valerio Polesel). Proud grandmother of, Amanda, Jason, Samantha, Jessica, Alessandra, Kara, Ryan and Taylor. Pre-deceased by her Parents, Camilla (Fewer) & George Burrell. Lenora will be remembered by her sisters Camilla (Louie Culos), Frances (Robert Chalmers), and by dad’s family Vincent & Florence LeFort, Rita Deveau and Anne Cecile Gillis, as well as her many nieces and nephews. Mom after facing numerous health issues was still “a young 84”, who in the course of her life was first & foremost a lady, teacher, adventurer. She had an iron will, strong determination, hard work ethic, and an admirable sense of Family. She was one of the founding members of The Lambton Square Seniors and Trillium Customs Brokers Inc. Many thanks to Dr. Robert McMillin for his many, many years of expert care and advise, as well as the compassionate nursing staff of 4C Stroke Unit and Linda Delavega, the Angel that was sent to us, who loved mom and whom we are eternally grateful for all the care she gave her. We are heartbroken over our loss, however if nothing else, Mom taught us to never give up and at every cost stand by one another. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston, on Tuesday from 7-9pm and on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Transfiguration of Our Lord Catholic Church (45 Ludstone Drive, Etobicoke) on Thursday June 14th, 2012 at 10:30am. Entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the CNIB Toronto.
