Lawrence Donald Kennedy
Died peacefully, at the Humber River Hospital, on April 13, 2020. Lawrence “Larry” Kennedy passed away at the age of 88 years old.
Larry was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on June 28, 1931.
Larry was predeceased by his wife Irida (nee Martini), mother Nellie Jean Maxymetz and father Alfred Andrews. He was also predeceased by a very special Aunt and Uncle of Toronto, Hilda and Bill Rogers.
He will be lovingly remembered by son Dan Kennedy and partner Bonnie Lewis of Toronto, son Jeff Kennedy and partner Dorothy Stewart of Toronto/Montreal, sister Rosemarie Ducharme and brother in-law Delmar Ducharme of Winnipeg,Manitoba and predeceased by his brother Hughie Kennedy of Arnprior, Ontario as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Larry was a long time resident of Toronto, Ontario in the North York area. After working in the insurance industry he started his own personnel recruiting firm where he worked for over 30 years until his retirement. He had a terrific sense of humour, enjoyed sports and adored his cat, Samson “the big guy”.
Larry’s funeral was held on Friday April 17th at the Holy Cross Cemetery; the viewing was held at Ward’s Funeral home.
