Glen, Lawrence (Larry) Charles
Born May 9, 1951, Larry passed away suddenly at his home on November 23, 2017. Predeceased by his parents, Chuck and Dorothy, Larry is survived by his loving family, Wife Donna (Whitefield), son David, daughter Heather, son-in-law John Moon and cherished grandson Austin. He is also survived by his sister Linda (Ben) Brasz of Barrie, brother-in-law Lee (Pauline) Whitefield of Victoria BC., nephews, nieces and cousins.
Larry was born and raised in Weston and after graduating from the University of Western Ontario, he began a 41 year teaching career with the City of York School Board (later TDSB). In retirement, Larry enjoyed spending time with his family and many life-long friends. He could often be found at the golf course or ballpark where he volunteered many years with the Eringate and Etobicoke Softball Leagues.
Friends may call at the Ward Funeral Home, Weston Chapel, 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Ave. W.), Weston on Monday, November 27 from 5 – 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Central United Church, 1King Street, Weston on Tuesday at 1p.m. Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery.
