Wilson, Lawrence Elwood – peacefully after a lengthy battle with cancer on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2013 at the Humber River Regional Hospital – Church Site at the age of 83. Beloved husband and best friend of Linda for 45 wonderful years. Loving dad of Derek (Becky Heinmiller) and Andrea (Martin Guilbeault). Cherished grandpa of Alexie, Amelie and Armand. Dear brother in law of Marilyn (Fred) Petsura and brother of the heart of Lyn (Jim) Gower and Barbara Ward. He will be fondly remembered by all those whose lives he touched. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston, on Sunday from 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Elwood’s life will be held on Monday at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Humber River Regional Hospital, Church Site Foundation – Oncology Department would be appreciated.
