Kevin’s passing on June 8, 2022, was unexpected but thankfully peaceful.
Beloved son of George (deceased) and Lois Comacchio, he was born on November 21, 1961, in Weston, Ontario. He was older brother to Brenda and Leah, brother-in-law to Fernando Pimentel and Daniel Paterson; and was an extraordinary uncle to Hayley whom he adored.
Kevin was many things to many people, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, teammate, business man, friend, and mentor. He touched the lives of so many people through his humour, laughter, knowledge, dedication and love. While often showing a tough exterior, anyone who truly knew him knew he was a generous, caring, giving and loyal man.
Growing up he had a fondness for music, learned to play the piano which he gave up during his teen age years as rugby became his chosen passion. Yet, he returned to piano playing just recently.
In his teens and twenties, he played rugby for the Yeomen Rugby Football Club. He loved the sport, and his Yeomen teammates became lifelong friends. Together they won the league championship and the McCormick Cup three years in a row, 1993, 1994, and in 1995.
He always enjoyed the great outdoors, as he was an avid hunter and fisherman. The outdoors gave him the opportunity to leave the office from time to time to spend time with friends who shared the same interest.
In 1996, he started Kingcal Properties and Maintenance. He recently celebrated 25 years as a successful businessman. His honesty, dedication, knowledge, integrity and personality brought business to him, and the company thrived. He was both respected and well liked in the industry.
His passing has left so many of us broken hearted. We were blessed to have had him in our lives and mourn that we were not given more time with him.
