Kenneth Showers

SHOWERS, Kenneth L. - (April 16, 1925 - July 14, 2009) Peacefully on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at the Humber River Regional Hospital - Church Site, Kenneth Showers entered into the presence of his Lord. Dearly beloved husband of Doreen (nee Stevens) for 60 years. Predeceased by his parents Myrtton and Cora Bell. Cherished father of Douglas (Shirley), Barbara (Jim Doherty) and Joanne (Joe Cossu). Much loved by his grandchildren Megan, Seumas, Adrian, Daniel and Thomas and his step-grandchildren Matthew, Ryan and Rebecca. Loving brother of Marguerite Bartley and brother-in-law of Roy and Yvonne Stevens and Don and Evelyn Stevens. Ken was a former teacher at Westview Secondary School and Downsview Collegiate. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd. (north of Lawrence Ave.), Weston on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Weston Park Baptist Church, 1871 Weston Rd. on Wednesday, July 22 at 2 p.m. Private family interment.
