Fraser Pollock

Born March 10, 1943 in Listowel, ON - passed following a short illness on September 24, 2024. Our beloved Fraser/'Poppy' was 81.

Fraser leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Dawn. He was nutsy-cuckoo about her, as was obvious to all. Also, the pride of his life, his son Todd (Jean), the light of his life, grandson, Alex (mom, Inna); loved granddaughters, Emma (Jacob) and Sophie, and his great-grandson, Isaiah.

Fraser is also survived by his beloved twin sister, Sharon (Tom), brother-in-law Terry (Anne), niece Sarah (Leo), nephews Chris (Alice) and Mark (Bekah); great-nieces, Gwendolyn, Tayleigh and Kailena, and great-nephews Calvin, William and Sam.

Aside from being with family and friends, Fraser enjoyed gardening and growing his tomatoes and peppers from seed in his greenhouse, relaxing by his fish pond, in his screened outdoor room - and Manhattans. The most fun he had on a Saturday morning was with his breakfast club. They are a group of long-time, devoted friends, and he loved them.

Fraser was a long-time businessman, starting, in November of 1972, what would become the largest chimney distributor in Canada. His long hours and innovative methods for site measuring and inventory allowed projects to be completed reliably and efficiently. Fraser was not only a respected business owner, but was truly well-liked and admired among his colleagues and peers in the industry. He held a strong ethic of "first one in, last one out" so customers always knew that, whatever the hour, he would always be there.

Fraser was known and loved for his agreeable personality, quiet strength, quick wit - and his big, warm smile. Fraser will be dearly missed, but his spirit and zest for life will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

A special thank you to the team at The Princess Margaret Hospital on 15B for your kindness and care for our Fraser. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations to one of Fraser's favourite charities would be appreciated by the family: The Princess Margaret Hospital or The Salvation Army Food Bank of your choice

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held in the coming weeks where family, friends and colleagues are welcome to come together to honour Fraser's memory and share stories of his full life.
