Kathleen Peterson

PETERSON, Kathleen (nee Arseny) - With deep sadness our family announces the passing of our beloved mother Kathleen, age 93, on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Humber River Regional Hospital. Kathleen was born in Tolstoi, Manitoba on July 24, 1916. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Grant, Sandra and husband Klaus, Carol and husband Brian. Proud grandmother of Jennifer and husband Michael and Laura. Survived by her brother Paul and wife Kay of Emerson, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her husband Peter in 1980; brothers John, Bill, Nick, Peter, Mike, Steve, Metro and Sam; and sisters Anna, Wasylina and Pearl. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews in Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, Alberta and USA. Kathleen worked part-time at the T. Eaton Company Ltd. (Yorkdale) for 25 years. She also was an active member of the Amesbury Seniors Group and enjoyed square dancing, exercising and Euchre. Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd. (north of Lawrence Ave. W.), Weston on Monday, March 1 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, March 2 at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Prospect Cemetery.
