Julia Wilbur (Mornan) passed away peacefully with her loving daughter-in-law, Debra, by her side on March 6, 2025 at the age of 88 in Holland Christian Homes.

Julia was born in Jamaica on September 24, 1936 to parents, Reverend Victor and Beryl Mornan. They had three children, Dorothy, Julia, and Hazel. Julia came to Christ as a young child, being raised in a Christian family. When Julia was 13 years old, the family immigrated to Canada, settling in Toronto. Julia took the opportunity to serve the Lord in various ministries at Waverley Road Baptist Church and Dunfair Chapel, where the family attended. During this time, Julia was maturing in her faith and developing a deep and abiding relationship with Jesus. As a student, she was strong academically. After high school, Julia attended Briercrest Bible Institute, where she obtained a 3-year Bachelor of Religious Education degree.

After obtaining her degree, Julia found employment at the Toronto Hydro working in various roles in a long and productive career. In 1965, she met and married Jim Greenwood who had emigrated from Ireland. The couple attended People’s Church. Jim introduced Julia to his many Irish friends. She had the privilege to show God’s love and be like another mom to the second generation in their circle of friends. Tragically, Jim died suddenly of a heart attack in 1990. A few years after Jim died, Julia met and later married Ron Wilbur. Julia was blessed to be Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma to Ron’s family from his first marriage. They shared many happy years together. Julia is predeceased in death by her first husband, Jim Greenwood; her second husband, Ron Wilbur; her parents, Reverend Victor and Beryl Mornan; her sister, Dorothy Barney; Dorothy’s husband, Alan Barney; her sister Hazel’s first husband, Robert Attrell; and great-great-nephew, Noah Ronald Attrell.

Julia is survived by her sister, Hazel; brother-in-law, Roy; step-mother, Helena; step-sons, Ken and Jim; daughters-in-law, Debra and Heidi; four grandchildren - Laura (Marc), Alex (Margaret), Paul (Sonja), and Eric; and two great-grandchildren - Talia and Owen. She is also survived by her four nieces and nephews - Linda (Edward), John (Kim), David (Terry), and Bob (Ingrid); great-nieces and great-nephews, Phillip (Deanna), Joel (Amanda), Amy, Andrew (Laura), Melissa (Kaleb), Katherine (Matthew), Rachel (Matthew), Connor (Demi), and Quinn; and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews - Logan, Emily, Jude, Ruth, James, Joshua, Melanie, Julia, Primrose, Elizabeth, Grace, and Link.

Family and friends will be received at Bramalea Baptist Church, 9050 Dixie Rd, Brampton on Saturday, March 29th. The viewing will take place from 10-11 am, the Celebration of Life Service will be from 11 am - 12 pm, and the reception will follow from 12-2 pm. Following this, an interment will take place at Meadowvale Cemetery at 2:30 pm.
