Julia Esperanza Ortega

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Julia Esperanza Ortega (Fuentes) who passed away on May 7, 2020. Julia was born on January 7, 1946, in Ecuador to Maria Eleodora Morales and Jaime Julian Fuentes. She immigrated to Canada early on in her life to fulfill her dreams.

She is survived by her husband Stanley Ortega; her children: Gilbert, Cesar (Monica), Lise and Stephanie (Tony); and, her grandchildren: Cesar Jr., Christopher, Matthew, Lukas, Nicholas, Leo, Vincent and Erik. Julia was loved by so many and will be remembered for her love of life. She was a caring, vibrant, determined and kindhearted woman whose smile lit up a room. She was full of life and was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who was taken from us too soon.

Due to the current restrictions, only a private burial with immediate family will be taking place.
