Jovita Bulatao

Our loving mother, Jovita Sumadchat Bulatao, has joined our Creator on February 14, 2023, just one day short for what would have been her 88th birthday. Interestingly though, it is on this same day that our dad passed away 36 years ago. It warms our hearts to think that Mama and Daddy were finally able to celebrate their love for each other on Valentine’s Day, with Jesus, the angels, and all the saints up there in heaven.

Vita, also known as Jovy, was a dependable daughter, a committed sister, and a genuine friend to many. She was a dedicated and loyal wife to our dad, Bert. She was a selfless and nurturing mother to us, her 8 children, and our respective spouses, whom she loved as her own children. She was a patient and affectionate grandmother to her 18 grandchildren, a generous and warmhearted great grandmother to her 10 great grandchildren. Surely she had a big heart and she kept us all in it. It exuded with steadfast love for us even to her final breath.

Most noteworthy of all, Mama was a faithful and devoted follower of our Lord Jesus Christ. She lived the Great Commission and found every opportunity to share God’s saving grace. Her faith in God provided stability in the family and purpose in her life.

We thank God for blessing us with a mother like ours. “The Lord gave, the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.” Job 1:21
