It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest Joseph Mantia. Surrounded by his loved ones, Joseph passed away peacefully on September 23, 2022, at the age of 70. Joseph was born to Ignazio & Francesca, in Terimini Imerese, Italy, on January 5, 1952.

Beloved husband of Carmena Mantia ‘nee Trozzi’ married 46 years. Loving father of Robert (Marta) & Steven (Carmela). Proud grandfather of Marisa, Avery, Abbey, Nolan & Domenic. Dear brother of Micky (Camillo). He will be lovingly remembered by his extended family.

Nothing made Joseph more happy, proud, or complete than being surrounded by his loved ones, family dinners were an especially important time to him. Joseph’s friends and family will remember him as a fun loving, one-of-a-kind man who was always the life of a party.

Deepest thanks to the caring staff at Humber River Hospital, your attentiveness and kindness in this difficult time is appreciated.

Our grief over losing him is infinite, and our loving memory of him will always remain in our hearts. He lived each day to its fullest and represented all that is good in life. He will forever remain in the hearts of all who loved him.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge) on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Immaculate Conception Church (300 Ansley Grove Rd, Woodbridge) Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., with entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
