It is with sadness family and friends said “anchors aweigh” to Joseph Francis Dionne at 5:30 a.m. on July 13, 2016 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s at the Wellington Park Care Centre, Burlington. Joe was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, U.S.A. He served in the U.S. Navy for ten years and after discharge, Joe and his wife moved to Oakville. Joe was employed for many years at Wheelabrator Corp. He took much pleasure in gardening keeping everything “shipshape”. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. We are comforted to know he is now at peace in a safe harbour. Burial took place at Springcreek Cemetery, Clarkson on July 15, 2016. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated by his wife Cathy and his son Jeff.
