JOSEPH BUMBACA May 11, 1928 – July 12, 2016. Born in Gerace, R.C.,Italy. Passed away peacefully at home in Woodbridge, ON surrounded by family. Beloved husband of the late Amelia (Scali-2013) for 62 years. Cherished father of Anthony, Cathie and Nick (Maria). Loving Nonno to Dimitri and Isabella. Dear brother of Teresa (the late Giuseppe), Amelia and Rita (Angelo). Predeceased by sister Maria (the late Domenico), brothers Domenico (Carmela) and Rocco (Maria) He will be missed by his large extended family and many dear friends in Canada and Italy. A heartfelt thanks to all those who contributed to dad's care and comfort, including his wonderful caregiver Henry and PSW Abi. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 14th from 6-9 p.m. and Friday July 15th from 2-4p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy. 7, Woodbridge. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday July 16th at 9:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church, 8500 Islington Ave., Woodbridge. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery, 7241 Jane St., Concord. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Movement Disorder Research Fund at the Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
