Joseph Bauer

BAUER, Joseph - Passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 8 p.m. in his home with family at his side. He is survived by his wife Hermie of 61 years; his children, Doris, Karin (Bob Jean) and Jeff (Karen Simpson) and his grandchildren, Josh, Kiera, Connor, Riley and Shavaughn. As well, he is survived by his brothers Herman and Adi (Erna) and his sister-in-law Trude. Many nieces and nephews will also miss him, both here and in Austria. Joseph fought hard to survive as long as he did, almost making it to his 85th birthday. Family members are saddened by his loss but knowing he is now in peace and free of pain provides much comfort. A Celebration of Joseph's Life will take place at Ward Funeral Home at 2035 Weston Rd. at 1:00 p.m. on December 22, 2014. Joe/Dad/Opi, we love you and miss you and you will always be in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Lyndhurst Hospital Outpatient Care or to the Dorothy Ley Hospice would be most appreciated.
