Joseph Andrew (Andy) Bertrand

In loving memory of our brother Andy, who passed away at home on December 10, 2021 at the age of 65 after a five and a half year journey with cancer. Born May 12, 1956 in Clinton, Ontario, Andy was the oldest child of the late (William) Jacques and Marion Bertrand (Buchanan). He is survived by his three siblings: Steven (Petra), Brian (Martha), and Paula Bertrand. Andy enjoyed sports, cats, puns, and developed an interest in gardening over the last few years. He was also always willing to share his story of surviving 15 hours of surgery to remove a large abdominal tumour, and spent his last year writing and self-publishing a book about his experience entitled From Illness to Fulfillness: A Transformational Guide for Cancer Survivors Seeking a More Meaningful Life. His family would like to thank all the medical practitioners who treated & supported him throughout this time. As per his wishes, there was no funeral service, but donations can be made in his name to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
