Jose Soares

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest Jose Soares. Surrounded by the love of his family, Jose passed away on Tuesday, May 30th, 2023 in his 91st year. Jose was born in Terceira, Azores, Portugal on November 28, 1931.

Beloved companion to Audete for 30 wonderful years. Loving stepfather to Tony (Robyn) and Carolyn (Tony). Adoring grandfather to Chantel (Rocco), Sierra, and Branden. Devoted great grandfather to Daniella, Sophia, and Sienna. Jose will be fondly remembered by his siblings Jack (Maria), and Natal.

Jose loved to play music, and he was an avid player of the flute, saxophone, and guitar. He was a very hardworking man; he spent many years working at McDonnell Douglas Canada. Jose was exceptionally devoted to his family, and he enjoyed spending as much time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren as he could. He loved to take them pumpkin picking, camping and biking.

Family and Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
