José Maria Altube

José Maria Altube, (87) born in Elorrio, Spain on March 7, 1927, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2015, after a long battle with spinal stenosis and succumbed to pneumonia. He is survived by his beloved wife and companion of 70 years, Maria Begoña; his three loving daughters and spouses Iciar Garcia (Juan Garcia), Maria (Mohamad Mahmassani), Sara (Paul McDermott); grandchildren Joel, Rosa and Joseph Garcia, Dannie (Emma Stainton), Michael and Amanda Mahmassani, Liam and Alisa McDermott and his namesake and great-granddaughter Josephine Mahmassani. He was a dedicated family man with a great sense of adventure and a true love of nature. His passion was woodworking and dedicated his career as a loyal member of the Carpenter's Union as a Master Carpenter. He will be greatly missed by all and will remain forever in our hearts.
