John Vera

John Vera—a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather and friend—passed away on March 25th, 2024 in his 49th year. John was raised in Toronto, Ontario by Juana and Jacinto Moreira, and was born to Luis Antonio Vera and Nilda Moreira. Dear brother to Solanda, Sayda, Beatrice (predeceased), Lariza, Daisy, Solanda, Tanya, Victor, Jose and Melissa.

He was a treasured father to his daughters and son, Alliyah, Bryana, Tiffany, Daniel and Selena. As a doting grandfather, Papa showered Madison and Sophia with boundless affection, creating precious memories that will endure through generations. John's family was his whole life, and nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his children and grandchildren. 

In addition to his familial roles, John was a supportive brother to many, extending his warm demeanor and unwavering kindness to anyone he would meet. This very nature had endeared him to countless lifelong friends, who will forever hold him close in their hearts.

John was a truck driver by trade and, in his free time, would fill his soul with fond sounds of music, lively dancing, singing and cooking. He was also a fun-loving jokester and took any opportunity to make his family and friends laugh. John's joyous spirit filled every room he entered, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Although John’s physical presence may be gone, his spirit lives on through cherished memories and joyful stories that his loved ones will continue to share for years on end. He will be deeply missed.
