Johann “John” Lochert
John Lochert passed peacefully from this life, following a short but valiant battle with pneumonia, on February 4, 2017. He was surrounded by his loving wife of 59 years, Martha, daughter Donna, and son Richard. He was also the much loved Opa of Justin and Krista Lochert.
John was born in Czernowitz Romania on March 13, 1930, the only child of Antonia and Josef Lochert. Family was always very important to him, and he was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, as well as a loyal and generous friend who will be missed by many.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 18 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Philllip’s Lutheran Church, 61 West Deane Park Drive in Etobicoke. A luncheon reception will follow at the church.
