GILMOUR, Captain John McLaren - (Air Canada - Retired) Peacefully on Friday, December 4, 2009 at the Brampton Civic Hospital at the age of 79, after a short and courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his loving wife Barbara. Survived by his children Jane, David (Sheri) and Cathy (Larry). Cherished grandfather of Sarah, David, J.D., Katie, Lawrie and Cam. He will be fondly missed by his friends, relatives and his beloved cats Clancy and Casey. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 'Brampton Chapel', 52 Main St. S. (Hwy. 10), Brampton on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2009 in the chapel at 2 p.m. If desired, donations to The Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.
